British Airborne

November is here and I miss my Mach 2. The US Worlds seems so far away now. Here is cool little video expertly shot by Anja Rupp at Cascade Locks. Some nice foiling tacks (the Brits can do 'em too boys).
I still dont know what caused the crash at the end but I think I may have hooked the bouy anchor line..??

Where is your mach2 then?

That is one AWSOME transition... borderline freestyle! We could well be witnessing the forefather of moth free style and the "pivot tack"!

Excellent footage again from Anja.

My Mach 2 Boat 3 went to Germany after the Worlds

why germany?

It was sold. The guy who bought it lives there.

I'm impressed nothing broke and the boat stayed upright!

That is the finest move I've seen on a Moth yet!

hit pause at 49 seconds in the vid.
Centerboard is 30 degrees from square to hull as Simon exits stage right.

Yeah funny that. No damage whatsoever though. This was before the worlds started. Optical illusion?

Perhaps it was the hull as a giant torsion bar, rather than the centreboard as a spring?

Gutsiest move I ever saw Mav...

Maybe it was an otter, there wouldn't be any penguins there. I hear otter fur foil covers are the best...

You probably hit that huge ego of yours!

Good to see you removed your foil covers this time, although if you're going to go about hitting things, maybe we need to revisit the foil covers. Kind of like puting your stabilizers back on your bike (which we also need to consider).
